I want to be healthy. Don’t we all.
That’s why I knew that the diagnosis I’d been assigned was something I needed to handle with care.
The first time I heard the term “Lymie” I thought, “Okay, I guess that's a cute nickname to make the best of a difficult situation”.
But the more I thought about it, the more it felt more like resignation. It was still a place holder or identity I decided I didn't need.
Aren’t we more than that?
Our physical bodies can and do heal. That’s what the body does. When we are caught up in or identify with a diagnosis or symptoms, whether that be physical, mental or emotional, we can get stuck on a road we don’t want to be on.
When we are unconsciously bound by unresolved emotions, limiting beliefs and the trauma that preceded the label of (fill in the blank), it can be difficult to be truly healthy.
That’s why when we live under a label it’s hard to get out from under it; it can keep us energetically confined and restricted.
Always question the label.
All symptoms or healing responses are just that, our bodies code to tell us things are out of whack.
Healthy nervous system regulation opens the floodgates of healing and the words we use, internal or external, are either medicine or poison.
Brain retraining taught me to heal at the foundational level and to live my life as if every moment was a healing opportunity, not only for myself, but also for those around me.
Layers are uncovered and health restored. Usually there’s more to uncover than we had ever imagined.
Start with what you think and say about yourself.
Are those words lifting you and your health up or chipping away at the very foundation that you need to build your life.
What words of healing do you say to yourself to build the life you want?
